ARCHIVED BANDS OF THE MONTH

June 2010 - Mean Mr Mustard

As it is World Cup month, I would suggest people check out the sound of South Africa (the rock sound of course).

Mean Mr Mustard are a dynamic 4 piece stadium rock outfit who have had 4 top albums in South Africa but unlike bands like Seether and Just Jinger  they have not made much headway in Europe.  For the band, 2010 looks more promising with a 5th album on the way and their latest Rock Ballad "Angel"

May 2010 - Taking Dawn

This months band are from Las Vegas and are currently supporting Rock Legends KISS on their UK Tour.  They know how to rock and albeit their unique\updated Rock sound there is still an underlying 80’s feel.

April 2010 - The Union

From the 80’s band “Terraplane” to 20 years of “Thunder”, Luke Morley is back with the vocal assistance of “Peter Shoulder” previous of “Winterville” with new Blues\Rock infused band “The Union”.  First track from the album is “Step up to the plate” and it is pretty rocking.  “Thunder” were around for 20 years and in my opinion the “Union” will be just as successful.

March 2010 - The Lost Prophets

The Lost Prophets were formed in 1997 in a town near Cardiff, Wales by Ian Watkins & Mike Lewis.  They are now a 6 piece band that play both classic and modern style of Rock.  It took until 2010 for them to be really noticed on the UK Rock scene with their album “Betrayed”.  Worth checking out and seeing live.  Also check out "Fake Sound of Progress" which came out in 2001.

February 2010 - New Device

“New Device” are a 5 piece band from South East England (mainly London) formed in October 2007 who are now finally being noticed on the Rock circuit.  They are a Hard Rock outfit and their influences are Guns N’ Roses and Aerosmith etc.  True classic rock that will appeal to all age groups – check them out.
